Proximity Bias, heard of it? What about, out of sight out of mind?
While proximity bias is not new, its prickle has been on the rise since COVID rudely disrupted our world and remote / hybrid work impacted a larger portion of the working population.
The unhappy rumblings of inequity and disproportionate reward, favour, recognition, communication share, social inclusion, progression, and connection is on the rise and with it, a rise in workplace disputation and action is sure to follow.
The question is, how many are sitting on a limb waiting for the bough to break? Moreover, how many organisations, know proximity bias is a thing and how many are working to create a presence equity framework?
